The family room was super spacious with two singles and a double bed, which was perfect. We had beautiful views of the village lit up at night. The bathroom was large and had everything we needed, including a separate shower and bath. The beds were comfy with great mattresses and plenty of pillows. There were even extra throws in the wardrobe. Had a fab sleep! Plus, nice extras like quality toiletries and a hairdryer.

Comfortable stay with great local food
During our stay, we loved the cozy double room with a garden view, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The dining experience was the highlight—breakfast was freshly cooked with quality ingredients, and the restaurant's ambience was enhanced by stunning views of Simonside Hills. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. A small improvement would be to have a wider non-alcoholic drink selection in the bar area.

Couples seeking a treat
Had a fantastic night with my partner. The food was a revelation, I mean, the roast beef dinner was really excellent, just melt in your mouth, it was that good. Plus, the breakfast? Best full English I’ve ever had. Quality ingredients, cooked just right, and that view while eating, lovely.
Now, it wasn't exactly a bargain, let's be real.

Just a small issue with the dinner menu. The main courses didn't really match our expectations, leaving us a bit underwhelmed compared to the tasty starters.

The family room was spacious, quiet , and filled with natural light. Chef George prepared an amazing evening meal, which set high expectations for breakfast.
The location was decent, but not as central as some other options in the area.

missingWrote a review on Jun 24impressive breakfastgarden viewbanging doors
The breakfast spread offered impressive choices, ensuring a hearty start to the day. The garden view from the triple room provided a delightful backdrop and added a touch of tranquility to the stay.
The room doors were a nuisance, consistently banging against the frame, requiring a makeshift fix with a card to keep them quiet. there was a noticeable clash in the side lamps, as one emitted a harsh light while the other was dim, creating an odd ambiance. Some areas felt a bit worn overall, which could use refreshing to enhance the charm of the hotel.
